At Lutheran High School – Fremont, our mission is to train young people to be followers of Jesus; prepared to lead and serve their family, community and world.
Having a non-public high school in the Fremont area may not be a new concept, but having a Lutheran High School in the Fremont area has been a dream of many for several years. In September, that dream will become a reality, and we will use a variety of different ways to serve our students and community. Our full time teachers are lifelong Lutheran educators who hold degrees from a Concordia University. Any part-time staff will need to be of like-minded faith and lead as a Christian role model. Several area Lutheran pastors and clergy will lead our daily Religion classes and weekly chapel services, giving students the chance to dive more deeply into God’s word.
The online curriculum we have selected is Acellus, a conservative, top of the line education leader that is based in Kansas City. With full time staff to supervise all learning, parents can rest assured that all curriculum, discussions, and interactions will be held and guided in a faith-filled environment. This hybrid learning model enables us to provide a depth of learning that could not be achieved in a more traditional school setting.
Finally, as a small school, we are excited to be able to go into the community on the fourth Friday of each month to participate in need-based service projects in the Fremont area. This gives our students a chance to truly put their faith into action, while also having the ability to have a voice into where the needs can best be met.
