Preparing Students for College and Life: The Lutheran High School Advantage

A Leader in Me School

I’d like to take a few minutes to talk about the advantages of Lutheran High School – Fremont.  When we open the doors to students in September, we will begin preparing them for the next stage of their education, whatever that stage may be.

At Lutheran High School – Fremont, we have the opportunity to educate the “whole” child – meaning their head (academics), but also their heart (a Christian learning environment) and their hands (service opportunities each month.)

With our use of Acellus software, students have instant access to more options than most of us could’ve imagined in our traditional school environments.  Students at LuHi will be able to select a pathway that can help guide them to meet their post high school goals, whether that is a college prep path, headed into a trade, or even direct to workforce.  Along with the pathway selection, Acellus users have the full use of the built in AI technology, giving students the chance to accelerate their learning, reteach a concept, or move between levels of difficulty within the same class.

We are excited to be the first school in the Nebraska District to be selected as a Franklin Covey “Leader In Me” school.  The three values that “Leader in Me” works to instill are leadership, culture, and academics, and those are developed in such a way that is intentional, especially through our first and fourth Friday opportunities for service and community hands-on experiences. With small class sizes, students are given great amounts of voice and choice in the types of service opportunities they plan and participate in.
